Greetings, Excelsior Families!

We are thrilled to welcome both new and returning students to campus this school year. Our dedicated staff is eager to collaborate with each student and family to prepare all students to be successful adults.

Excelsior provides both on-campus and distance learning, so you can choose the best option for your student. We offer UC/Cal State approved A-G coursework, Associated Student Body Government, Broadcasting, Art, Band, Computers, Yearbook and more! Students can also attend field trips, school events, and take college classes through dual enrollment at Barstow Community College.

We deeply value the partnership we have with our families. Communication and collaboration with you are integral to the success of our students. We believe that by working together, we can create an environment where every student can achieve academically, socially, and emotionally.

Christina Hamilton

Assistant Principal

Christina Hamilton is the assistant principal of Excelsior Charter Schools, Barstow Campus. Since 2010, she has worked as a middle school facilitator, science and math teacher, field trip coordinator, and interim principal.

She graduated from the University of Redlands with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts in Race & Ethnic Studies, and a Master of Arts in Education. She has a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (with English as a supplementary) and an Administrative Credential. She recently graduated from Walden University with a Doctor of Philosophy in Education with a specialization in Educational Policy, Leadership, and Management. Dr. Hamilton values education.

She looks forward to working with you this school year as your assistant principal. It is truly a privilege to be part of a community where families, facilitators, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support our school’s mission.
